Oyo farmers trained on modern practices – Blueprint Newspapers Limited

Farmers in Sepeteri, Oyo State, attended a one-day training program organized by Vestance Limited in collaboration with 365 Farms Limited to learn modern agronomic practices aimed at boosting their yields and market competitiveness. Held at Sepeteri Town Hall, the program covered essential topics such as crop rotation, irrigation management, soil conservation, and value-addition techniques.

Programme Manager, Rildwan Bello emphasised the importance of empowering farmers with modern agronomic practices. He highlighted the current productivity gap, noting that Nigerian farmers average two tonnes of maize per hectare compared to four to five tonnes in countries like Ethiopia and South Africa.
